An estate with a car museum and a private gas station has been put up for sale in the US. A residence built in 1986 for the entrepreneur and former general William Lyon is for sale in California. The property includes a private car museum, orange groves, a helipad, three guest houses and a service station. The owner of the collection was Lyon himself, and its maintenance was provided by a team with a personal mechanic.
A luxurious estate built almost 40 years ago by order of the general and developer William Lyon has been put up for sale in the US state of California. The complex is located on a plot of land surrounded by orange groves of 16 hectares and includes both the main residence and three additional guest houses. The total area of the main building exceeds 2 thousand square meters. Also on the territory are a swimming pool, a tennis court, stables and a helipad.
One of the main objects of the property was the car museum, located in a special pavilion with an area of over 2 thousand square meters. The collection assembled by William Lyon included up to 100 cars, although no more than eighty were stored directly on the estate. A private car wash, gas station, and auto repair shop were built to service the vintage cars, and a full-time mechanic was on staff. After the death of the owner and his wife, their son put the mansion up for sale.
