The Toyota Bozhi 4X crossover has been presented: an upgrade against the backdrop of a sales failure. The Chinese branch of Toyota decided to restructure the electric vehicle division: the bZ4X electric car was removed from the assembly line of the joint venture (JV) with FAW, and the joint venture with the GAC concern decided to update and rename the model! The reason is prosaic: battery-powered Toyotas failed in China, and their share in total sales of electric cars is about 0.5 percent.
Now the Toyota bZ4X is called Bozhi 4X, that is, formally the crossover belongs to a separate sub-brand. Externally, the model has changed slightly: except that the top version now has five-spoke alloy wheels and plastic lining in body color. Inside, there are changes in the software area: the media system now supports Apple CarPlay, Baidu CarLife+ and Huawei HiCar protocols.
If we compare versions with comparable characteristics, prices have decreased: now the crossover costs from 180 to 239 thousand yuan. Toyota also guarantees that if the price of the Bozhi 4X decreases within six months, the owner will be compensated for the difference! Another special offer is a 10 thousand yuan discount if the buyer leaves a deposit of 5,000 yuan for the electric car.
