The Toyota and GAC alliance has published official photos of the production version of the bZ7 electric sedan, the first showing of which took place in the spring at the Shanghai Auto Show. At the same time, the first technical characteristics of the electric car have been announced, which, due to its dimensions, will become the flagship of the Toyota bZ electric line. Sales of the electric car with Huawei electronics and Xiaomi services should start before the end of this year.
The exact dimensions of the Toyota bZ7 are 5130x1965x1506 millimeters, the wheelbase is 3020 millimeters. Thus, the electric car is more than 200 millimeters larger than the Chinese Camry: this applies to both the length and the distance between the axles.
It is also reported that the basic version of the electric car will be equipped with one engine, which develops 281 horsepower and accelerates the sedan to a maximum speed of 180 km/h. Huawei will supply power electronics for the new product.
The battery capacity and range have not yet been announced. At the same time, it is known that the bZ7 will be the first Toyota electric car integrated into the Xiaomi ecosystem: in particular, it will be possible to control “smart home” devices from the car. In addition, the sedan will receive a set of driver assistants developed with the participation of the Chinese company Momenta.
