Toyota has hinted at serial production of the Lexus supercrossover. The CEO of the Australian division of the Japanese brand, John Pappas, hinted at the imminent start of production of the LBX Morizo RR. In response to a direct question, the top manager did not confirm the serial embodiment of the bold concept car. However, Mr. Pappas himself mentioned the “charged” version of the LBX at the presentation of the regular version of the crossover and made it clear that this option is very interesting.
The Lexus LBX Morizo RR debuted in January, and then Toyota Chairman Akio Toyoda did not rule out the start of sales within a year. However, there have been no further announcements about the future of the concept car. The frankness of the Australian top manager may mean that the supercrossover will still be released in limited edition in right-hand drive versions.
The chances of a production version of the Lexus LBX Morizo RR are great, because this project is the brainchild of Akio Toyoda himself, who races under the moniker Morizo and is said to use the “charged” SUV as a personal car. Previously, there were no such uncompromising crossovers in the Lexus portfolio.
