Kia has shown the updated K8 business sedan for the first time. The Korean brand renamed the “senior” four-door with a transverse engine in 2021, and now a planned upgrade is on the way. The calling card of the 2025 Kia K8 is a complex “light signature” and vertical sections of running lights that resemble fangs. The headlights now have clearly defined modules, and the integrated mesh radiator grille and glowing “honeycombs” in the bumper will be a thing of the past.
The new corporate style of the Kia K8 was not a surprise: similar lighting technology is found in the updated Sorento and the K4 family. A “solid” bumper without a clearly defined radiator grille is a reference to electric vehicles. All Kia models, regardless of the type of power supply, will be cut according to the same patterns. Changing the “face” will be costly: even the hood and fender stamps have changed!
But there are fewer changes at the back: only the design of the lights will change, the tricky stamped parts will not be touched, and the easiest way to recognize the 2025 “eight” is by the high-mounted parking sensors: now the sensors are located above the number, and not at the same level with it. The design of the exhaust system may also change.
