Porsche may release a powerful hypercar based on the Mission X concept. Porsche CEO Oliver Blum mentioned this in a conversation with the Australian CarsSales. According to him, the Mission X show car, presented last summer, “collected a lot of rave reviews” and this was “an excellent motivation to start developing a production car.” If the powerful hypercar project is given the green light, it will become the brand’s fourth flagship after the 959, Carrera GT and 918 Spyder.
According to rumors, the production hypercar will be built on a 900-volt architecture with a battery located behind the seats, and the power-to-weight ratio will be the reference 1:1. It is also known that the hypercar will have more downforce than the 911 GT3 RS (coupe figure – 860 kg at 285 km/h), and it will charge twice as fast as the Taycan Turbo S.
Porsche hopes that the production version of the Mission X will be able to take the title of fastest road car from the Mercedes-AMG One.
