Changan and Huawei have unveiled a new mid-size SUV called G318. In China, sales of the car should begin in the near future at a price of 300 thousand yuan.
The SUV will be produced under a separate sub-brand Deepal. This brand was launched in China in 2022, and currently includes two cars – the S7 crossover and the SL03 liftback.
The G318 index was assigned to the car in honor of the Chinese highway, which begins in Shanghai and ends in the city of Zhangmu in Tibet. In terms of overall dimensions, the car can be compared with the Volkswagen Tiguan. However, the new product will compete with the brutal SUV Tank 300, Haval Dargo or the recently introduced FangChengBao Leopard 5.
The SUV received an angular design, unusual C-shaped headlights, retractable door handles, large bumpers, additional optics on the roof, and a hinged rear door with a spare wheel. The interior design of the car has not yet been revealed.
