At the Tesla Cybertruck Delivery Event, Elon Musk impressed the audience with a demonstration of the capabilities of his new pickup truck.
The highlight was the demonstration of the Cybertruck’s 0-60 mph time of 2.6 seconds and its ability to tow an impressive 5,000 kg. The real fun part, however, was drag racing the Cybertruck against a Porsche 911 Carrera.
During the race, Tesla not only overtook Porsche, but also showed off its strength by towing a German sports car. This stunt was intended to convince fans and potential customers to order the Cybertruck.
Despite the drama of the moment, the reaction to drag racing was twofold. Some experts believe it was a botched stunt that doesn’t provide any new insight into the Cybertruck’s capabilities.
While others consider it a success, noting the interest it generated among a wide audience.
