AVTOVAZ President Nicolas More spoke about what the next Lada Niva will be like. The presentation of the new version of the legendary car should take place soon.
In an interview with the French publication Challenges, Nicolas More emphasized that the new Niva will become a real SUV. The car will inherit the best off-road qualities of the classic Lada Niva and at the same time will have a high level of comfort and safety. As befits a real SUV, it will have a high ground clearance and an all-wheel drive system with a range of reduction gears.
The new version of Lada Niva will be built on the Renault platform. Two wheelbase options are being developed: compact and extended. For now, the model has been given the code name Grand Niva. We will find out what her real name will be closer to the premiere date.
According to AVTOVAZ’s plans, the new Lada Niva will be presented to the world at the end of 2024, and deliveries to dealers will begin in 2025-26. Depending on the configuration, the price of a new car will range from 12 to 16 thousand euros.
