Carlex Design has turned the Mercedes-AMG G63 SUV into a land yacht. The Polish tuning studio, which specializes in updating car interiors, has presented its latest project based on the current generation of the legendary Mercedes-Benz G-Class SUV. The flagship version of the model, the G 63, was taken as the basis, which received a ship-style design. The tuners have turned the iconic Gelandewagen into a land yacht by redesigning the interior. Tuning SUV was called Yachting Limited Edition.
The bodywork of the SUV is finished in navy blue, which is complemented by silver and white accents, a new spare wheel case and optional wheels, which the buyer can choose according to his taste. In contrast to the exterior, white has been chosen for the leather and Alcantara interior.
The seats, door panels, instrument panel, steering wheel and transmission tunnel are upholstered in soft leather, while the ceiling and pillars, as well as the trunk, are upholstered in Alcantara. But the main reference to yachts is the large-scale use of decorative elements made of expensive natural wood species.
Unusual wood panels can be found in place of the stock floor mats, on the steering wheel, passenger side dash grab bar, on the back of the second row seats and on the boot floor. Turning an SUV into a land yacht will cost at least 329,000 euros.
