Mitsubishi has introduced a new generation of the Triton/L200 pickup truck, the brand’s press service said. The car will be available for purchase in Thailand and will return to the Japanese market in early 2024 (after 12 years).
The car received a new front end design, made in the X-shaped style. In addition, it has two-story optics and a large grille. There are X-shaped stampings on board the body, and original lights appeared in the stern.
The main feature of the novelty was the body rigidity increased by 60%, which was achieved through the use of high-strength steel. The automaker claims that the new generation pickup has become larger than the previous generation, but the weight has increased slightly. Dimensions of the four-door version: 5360 mm long, 1930 mm wide and 1815 mm high. Wheelbase – 3130 mm.
The new generation of the Triton/L200 pickup truck received a Nissan 4N16 diesel engine, which is available in three boost options: 150, 184 and 204 hp. Together with the internal combustion engine, both a six-speed mechanics and an “automatic” with the same number of steps can work. The drive is complete.
