Experts from the chemical concern BASF traditionally named the most popular car colors based on the results of last year. The top three shades have remained unchanged around the world for many years. But among chromatic colors, fashion is changing.
Globally, white accounts for 34% of the market. It is followed by black (22%) and gray (17%). Another classic shade – silver – has won 8% of the market.
Among chromatic colors, blue is the most popular with a share of 7%. In 2024, 4% of cars were painted red, another 2% in green. Analysts note that yellow has become twice as popular, but it only occupies 1.5% of the market.
