The Hyundai Ioniq 5 finally gets an important feature that it was missing. As part of the transition to the new model year, Hyundai has improved the Ioniq 5 on several points. Firstly, the electric car has just now acquired something that even the cheapest Lada Granta 🤦🏻♂️ station wagon has – a rear windshield wiper. Secondly, it now has an N Line version, and thirdly, the base Ioniq 5 has had its battery capacity increased from the previous 77.4 to 84 kilowatt-hours.
There were other, less significant changes. For example, Hyundai reduced vibrations in the steering wheel, updated the infotainment system, added new buttons and revised the location of cup holders and wireless charging between the driver and passenger seats. The doors and rear pillars were strengthened, making the electric car’s body more rigid.
Among the external changes, it is worth noting the new bumpers, due to which the electric car has added an imperceptible 20 millimeters in length. The rear spoiler has also increased in size.
Starting with the 2024 model year, the Ioniq 5 line was replenished with the N Line version, which is located between the base model and the “charged” Ioniq 5 N. This electric car has sports seats, two-tone upholstery and a black ceiling. In addition, the Ioniq 5 N Line can be recognized by slightly different bumpers and side skirts, as well as 20-inch wheels of the original design.
The updated Ioniq 5 and the new Ioniq 5 N Line will go on sale in South Korea before the end of March. And the 2024 Hyundai Ioniq 5 and its derivatives will hit the global market later this year.
