The original Kia K8 entered the market in the spring of 2021, and the first customers will receive the updated sedan by the end of August. The “chips” of the restyling are a “solid” radiator grille, teardrop-shaped matrix headlights, a daytime running light extended across the entire width, and spectacular wheels with a different design. At the rear, the filling of the lamp has changed, and the exhaust pipes have become “hidden”. The length of the Kia K8 has increased by 35 mm (up to 5050 mm).
There are no revolutionary changes in the cabin, because the architecture is the same, and the layout was not touched. However, the trapezoidal infotainment complex has given way to a rectangular one, the climate control unit and air ducts have swapped places, a fashionable four-spoke steering wheel has been added, the interface on the central tunnel has been revised, and the front panel has a different shape.
The base Kia K8 is a naturally aspirated 2.5-liter engine (198 hp), optionally you can get a 3.5-liter V6 (300 hp on gasoline or 240 hp on liquefied gas). All-wheel drive is only available for the most powerful sedans, the rest of the options are front-wheel drive. The self-charging hybrid with a 1.6 turbo four will go on sale later. From now on, the basic configuration includes ten airbags.
The price for the updated Kia K8 starts at 27.7 thousand dollars, for the top version with all-wheel drive they ask 37.9 thousand dollars.
