The Brazilian company Lecar, which positions itself as a developer of modern and affordable transport, has shown its first model. This is a crossover with the index 459, which will receive a serial hybrid power plant. The five-door, which looks very similar to the Tesla Model Y, was priced at a base price of 147,900 reals (about 46,000 manat).
Lecar 459, with a length of 4350 millimeters, has a wheelbase of 2.7 meters, that is, despite the external similarity, the hybrid is more compact than Model Y. There are no images of the interior yet, but the new product is promised five seats and a 530-liter trunk.
The startup claims that at the end of this year it will begin construction of a new enterprise with a capacity of 120 thousand cars per year for the assembly of its cars. It will begin work in August 2026.
