Volvo promised to show 10 new products by 2026. These will be both restyled versions of models already on the market, and completely new ones, including the fully electric ES90 sedan. In other words, although Volvo has abandoned its plans for full electrification by 2030, it has not abandoned its plans to launch electrified cars. Hybrids with an increased power reserve and models on the updated SPA3 platform have been announced, Automotive News clarifies, citing top managers of the Swedish brand.
All 10 mentioned new products will be launched by 2026, and Volvo plans to sell some in the United States. For example, the American plant has already launched production of the EX90 electric SUV. Next, the “younger” EX60 model will appear, which will replace the XC60 and challenge the Tesla Model Y. It is known about the EX60 that it will be based on a modernized version of the SPA3 architecture and will receive highly efficient electric motors.
