Cadillac has completely declassified the first electric sports car from the V-Series line. It is the Lyriq crossover in the V version, which, thanks to powerful engines, will be able to reach 60 miles per hour (96 km / h) in 3.3 seconds – a record result for road Cadillac. Production of the SUV will start in the coming weeks, the start date of sales has not yet been announced. The price is from $ 79,990.
Two electric motors of the Cadillac Lyriq-V develop 615 hp and 880 Nm in the American specification. The 102-kilowatt battery supplied with them will allow the electric car to travel up to 460 kilometers without recharging. The power electronics received several specific operating modes focused on dynamic driving.
Other mechanical differences include a reconfigured steering mechanism and adaptive suspension with new calibrations and reduced ground clearance, as well as a specific soundtrack accompanying the operation of the power plant. It is claimed that some of its elements were “overheard” from the engine of the Le Mans prototype.
The external differences of the V-version will be a laconic aerodynamic body kit, carbon accents and special 22-inch wheels with Brembo brake calipers, as well as a black roof included in the basic package. The interior will feature a sports steering wheel and special seats with extended adjustment ranges, a media system with an original interface, as well as its own trim using nappa leather and rare wood species.
