Audi has published the first image of the new generation of the Q5 crossover, which it calls its most popular SUV. The model will still be equipped with petrol, diesel and hybrid units, although according to some assumptions, the new product will be the last Q5 with such a set. The full premiere is scheduled for September 2.
The sketch published by Audi depicts part of the head optics and a fragment of the radiator grille. According to regularly published spy photos of Q5 prototypes, the appearance of the crossover will generally remain the same with the exception of a number of details, but the interior will be seriously redesigned.
According to preliminary data, the new Q5 is developed on a modernized version of the MLB platform and will borrow some of the improvements from the recently debuted Audi A5 family.
