Unplugged Performance, a tuning studio specializing in Tesla electric cars, and Archimedes Defense, a company that produces power plants and generators for government and defense needs, have presented a program of modifications for the Tesla Cybertruck. Several equipment packages under the general name Sting are designed to increase the autonomy of the pickup truck and ensure the safety of its passengers. The developers claim that you can survive the apocalypse in such an electric car, and are already accepting pre-orders.
The basic Sting Baja package includes Starlink equipment for satellite Internet access and an 800-volt AMP Drive G125TM generator installed in the front trunk, which can run on aviation fuel, diesel or biodiesel. It produces up to 125 kilowatts and can be used to recharge both the Cybertruck itself and other electric vehicles: a NACS standard cable will be included.
The Sting Protector is aimed at private buyers, corporate clients and government employees who will have to move “in conditions of moderate threat.” In this case, the pickup is equipped with steel armor capable of withstanding fire from automatic weapons of caliber 7.62. Such a pickup can be ordered both with and without a generator. Finally, the Sting APC is a more advanced armored vehicle with protection against large-caliber machine guns (14.5 mm), improvised explosive devices and mines. A generator is also an option.
