Mitsubishi has unveiled a concept SUV with the DST index in the Philippines. No technical specifications have been announced, but it has been stated that this is a prototype of a production model for the countries of Southeast Asia. Mitsubishi will launch production of the commercial crossover in 2025.
The exterior of the Mitsubishi DST is made in the traditional style for current models with a signature radiator grille and characteristic body contours. It is noteworthy that the sides of the DST received X-shaped stampings. Among the finds that are unlikely to be retained on the production crossover are stepped head optics, cameras instead of side mirrors and an original design of the rear pillars. In addition, the concept is devoid of door handles.
The three-row DST interior uses a two-spoke angular steering wheel, a large “seamless” display and an unusual “floating” console, on which the transmission selector and round control of driving modes are located. The concept is conceived as a front-wheel drive crossover, but has received several settings for difficult road conditions.
