Tesla has unveiled a new electric car. It is called CyberCab and is expected to be completely autonomous – the new product has no controls or side rear-view mirrors. Tesla plans to organize mass production of such a coupe and not only organize a taxi service, but also sell the drone to private buyers.
The appearance of the Tesla CyberCab is essentially made up of solutions used both on the Cybertruck and on the compact electric cars Model 3 and Model Y – the new product has the same lighting technology as a pickup truck, and the body contours resemble the most affordable serial Tesla. However, the CyberCab received a number of original solutions. In addition to the silhouette, these are butterfly doors that open forward with the help of servo drives, and the complete absence of a rear window – they did not see the need for it due to the unmanned nature of the electric car.
The CyberCab interior has only two seats separated by a small armrest. The traditional front panel is preserved here, a large central screen is also installed, but there are no controls. The large trunk is separated from the passenger compartment by a partition. It is also known that the two-door will be equipped with a wireless induction charging system.
