Volkswagen has unveiled an updated Tiguan crossover. The car has slightly changed in appearance, has become more powerful, and has also received improvements in the interior, Motor1.com reported.
The new crossover is built on the MQB Evo platform instead of the MQB Classic in the previous generation and is made of completely new sheet metal, the German company says. In addition, the 2025 Tiguan is about 77 kg lighter than the previous model. The automaker explains this by the use of aluminum in the suspension and body structure.
The design of the updated Tiguan has become sportier: with sharp curves of the body, more square wheel arches and a new rear spoiler. The standard equipment includes 17-inch wheels, and 19- and 20-inch wheels are also available.
The Volkswagen Tiguan as standard received a new digital instrument cluster display with a diagonal of 10.25 inches. It is installed next to the standard 12.9-inch multimedia system screen. As an option, the instrument panel display can be increased to 15 inches. Dual-zone climate control is also available in the “base”. Three-zone – only for an additional fee.
Another display is located between the front seats. It is multifunctional and can control both climate control and driving modes.
The new Tiguan is also equipped with four additional airbags, for a total of 10. The car is also equipped with the IQ.Drive system, which includes a collision warning function, adaptive cruise control and other safety assistants.
