The marketing strategy of the electric premium brand Geely is unique in its own way: the market began to be conquered with the 001 liftback and the 009 minivan, but all-terrain vehicles have not yet appeared – only the compact SUV X, 4.5 meters long. The omission will soon be corrected: the Zeekr Ark crossover, about five meters long, is on the way. “Live” photographs in camouflage have already been published.
The imminent premiere of the CX1E crossover (unofficial name – Ark) is confirmed by Zeekr’s plan: one new product in the SUV class is planned for 2024. According to preliminary data, the model will be developed on the chassis of the Zeekr 007 sedan, that is, we are talking about a car with a length of 4.9-5.0 meters.
There is nothing unexpected in the official photographs of the prototype: the crossover is designed in the corporate style of the brand, the lighting technology is almost the same as that of other Zikrs, continuity is achieved due to the characteristic shape of the wheel arches, recessed door handles and a sloping hood. Surely Zeekr Ark will have design features, but they are not obvious yet.
According to preliminary data, the Zeekr crossover will be designed around an 800-volt electrical system, and a battery of its own design will be placed between the axles. The new product will receive the already familiar silicon carbide engines, and the power reserve on a single charge will be at least 700 kilometers.
