GMC has unveiled an updated Hummer EV electric car. However, the exact date of the start of sales of the new product is still unknown. Let’s look at all the innovations of the modernized family, which includes an SUV and a pickup truck.
Hummer EV power and maximum speed
After restyling, the flagship model has become much more powerful. However, this only applies to the top version of the Hummer EV, which is equipped with a three-motor installation. Now its power has increased to 1176 hp (+ 160 hp compared to the usual Hummer EV). Such an electric car can accelerate to 100 km/h in just 2.8 seconds. Even some modern sports cars cannot boast of such indicators.
Hummer EV is equipped with a “king crab” mode
Hummer EV was originally equipped with a special CrabWalk mode. When activated, all four wheels of the car turn in one direction at the same angle, allowing the car to move diagonally. This function allows you to overcome difficult narrow sections on the off-road, and also facilitates parallel parking.
The updated model, in turn, received an improved mode called King Crab. All the details about it have not yet been reported, but it is known that now the rear wheels of the car will turn faster than the front ones. According to the developers, this will have a positive effect on the maneuverability of the Hummer EV.
Hummer EV in the Carbon Fibre Edition
The new product will also have a special limited special version called Carbon Fibre Edition. This modification is based on the top version of the model. Visually, such a car will differ from the standard Hummer EV with carbon inserts and 22-inch wheels. The interior of the car will receive an amber color.

Another important innovation is a modified set of driver assistance systems on the road – Super Cruise. For example, it includes advanced adaptive cruise control, which in some cases allows the driver to take his hands off the wheel. The Hummer EV also has recalibrated shock absorbers and an improved charging function.
