Hyundai has unveiled a new electric car – a battery version of the recently updated Creta crossover. The first market to see the new product will be India: here, the SUV will receive two battery options and will be able to travel up to 473 kilometers without recharging. The official “live” premiere is scheduled for January 17.
A new front end design has been developed for the battery Hyundai Creta. The crossover has lost its radiator grille, receiving instead a blind panel with a charging port hatch, and has also acquired a different bumper with active air intake blinds. New 17-inch wheels and an original Ocean Blue body color are provided.
A new steering wheel has appeared in the cabin, the transmission selector has been moved from the central tunnel to the steering column, and the media system has received a new graphic shell.
The Creta Electric will be equipped with only one electric motor on the front axle. The crossover will be offered with two batteries, 42 or 51.4 kWh, with which the Creta Electric will travel 390 or 473 kilometers. It will take 58 minutes to recharge the battery from 10 to 80%.
