Hyundai has unveiled the Initium concept. This is a fuel cell SUV that heralds the imminent release of a new production model to replace the current Hyundai Nexo. A more modern design, increased power, and an extended range are promised.
The Initium’s exterior is designed in Hyundai’s new Art of Steel style. The crossover features an angular front end with rectangular light elements, an unusual rear pillar design, and a number of details designed to emphasize brutality. Among them, for example, a massive body kit along the perimeter and a powerful expedition trunk. There are no photos of the interior yet, but it is promised that it will be spacious enough for family use.
The Hyundai Initium’s electric motor develops 204 horsepower, and the range exceeds 650 kilometers. The company reported that the concept is equipped with more efficient fuel cells and has a more capacious battery.
The Hyundai Initium is scheduled to make its live debut at the November Los Angeles Auto Show, with Hyundai planning to begin production of the production crossover based on the concept in the first half of 2025.
