An unusual car, the Local Motors Rally Fighter SUV buggy, will be put up for auction at the SBX Cars online auction in mid-September. Price expectations have not yet been published, but the sports car will not be cheap for several reasons. This is the rarity of the model itself, its modest mileage, and its participation in the filming of the eighth series of the cult franchise “The Fate of the Furious”, where this car was driven by the heroine of actress Michelle Rodriguez.
The Local Motors company assembled less than a hundred Rally Fighters in the early 2010s, and the 55th copy is up for sale. The buggy has an aggressive design, energy-intensive suspension with more than 500 millimeters of travel, and a powerful engine. It is noteworthy that in order to optimize the weight distribution, the engine is installed within the wheelbase and slightly shifted to the right to compensate for the lack of passenger weight.
According to the seller, after filming of “The Fate of the Furious 8” was completed, the owner who bought the car financed its return to factory condition. However, he deliberately kept some of the cosmetic damage to the SUV that was sustained on the set.
