Chery is preparing to relaunch the once popular QQ city car line. Deputy CEO Li Xueyong has published the first official images of an electric concept car called the New QQ on social media, which is a harbinger of the future production model. According to Car News China, the premiere of the new product will take place at the end of this month at the Shanghai Auto Show.
Visually, the new concept is not similar to either the previous QQ or other current models of the Chery brand. The show car with a black and white exterior received a blind panel instead of a radiator grille, original front and rear lighting consisting of rectangular elements, and “aerodynamic” wheel rims. With the exception of a protruding spoiler on the roof, the design of the five-door hatchback does not have sharp edges – the body has mostly smooth contours.
