Kia has released images of the new K4 sedan, which will replace the Forte. Ahead of the premiere, which will take place on March 27, 2024 at the New York Auto Show, the South Korean brand has lifted the veil of secrecy about what the design of the future car will be. Apparently, the new product has a sporty silhouette with sharply defined body lines. At the same time, what stands out in the bold appearance is the absence of classic handles on the rear doors.
The streamlined fastback body shape of the K4 is combined with narrow LED optics that merge with the front bumper. Apparently, the sedan received a complex C-pillar design with door handles hidden at the base. Due to the unusual design, part of the side glass is hidden by a panel.
In the K4, the brand promises to implement new technological innovations that are not typical for sedans of this class. It is expected that the new product will receive a digital dashboard and many driver assistants. The engine range will include a 1.6-liter turbo engine and a two-liter naturally aspirated engine. For some markets the car will be available with a hybrid powertrain.
In addition to the Forte, Kia is going to partially replace the Ceed and Cerato in the European and Australian markets with the new model.
