Kia has unveiled an updated Sportage crossover. The main changes affected the front and rear of the crossover, as well as the interior.
As Motor1.com writes, the front of the new Sportage has a redesigned headlights, it has become similar to all new models of the Korean brand. In particular, the optics now resemble the headlights of a larger model – the Sorento crossover. These headlights have a “smart” high beam function, capable of turning it off when an oncoming car approaches.
The radiator grille has also been updated, and its pattern varies depending on the trim level. The same applies to the updated front bumper. The taillights retained their size and shape, but their interior trim has become new.
The external changes end with the appearance of new colors – Wolf Gray (gray) and Heritage Blue (blue), as well as new wheels with a diameter of up to 19 inches.
More significant changes have occurred inside, where the Kia Sportage received an updated 12.3-inch curved infotainment system and a digital instrument cluster of the same size.
The main “feature” of the cabin is the camera on the steering wheel, which monitors whether the driver is paying attention to the road. Sensors on the steering wheel also determine whether the driver’s hands are where they should be.
The Sportage is assembled on the same platform as another Korean crossover – the Hyundai Tucson, which underwent an update at the end of 2023.
