Porsche will update the electric crossover Macan in 2026, CarScoops reported. The changes will primarily affect the software, as well as the technical part.
In particular, the Macan will have digital key technology, which will allow smartphone owners (both iOS and Android) to automatically unlock and start the car without taking the phone out of their pocket or purse. This is possible thanks to the use of Near Field Communication (NFC), Bluetooth low energy (BLE) and ultra-wideband (UWB) connection technologies.

Porsche will also introduce new automatic driving functions. This is, for example, the so-called “learned parking”, that is, owners will be able to record certain actions when parking, which the crossover can repeat in the future.
Another innovation is the reversing assistance system, which allows the Macan to automatically reverse along the route along which it previously moved forward.

An interesting innovation will be the AirConsole gaming application, which allows you to use smartphones as game controllers and launch games directly on the multimedia system screen. However, for the driver, the games will only work in parking mode, while on the move – only for passengers.
In addition, Porsche will update the voice control system in the crossover, adding artificial intelligence to it. The updated electric Macan is already available for pre-order, but the start of sales is scheduled for spring 2026.
