Tesla has Lost its Lead in Electric Vehicle Sales for the First Time in a Year. Who Became the Leader?

For the first time in its history, Tesla has lost its lead in electric vehicle sales for the year, Bloomberg reported, as reported by Baku Cars, citing Day.Az.

It is reported that Tesla‘s Chinese competitor, BYD Co., has now taken the top spot in vehicle sales.

“The American electric vehicle maker is facing increased competition, the elimination of federal subsidies for domestic car purchases, and a backlash against CEO Elon Musk’s controversial policies. At the core of the problem is the lack of a truly new, affordable vehicle capable of updating its aging lineup,” Bloomberg explains.
