To mark the end of Lewis Hamilton’s career in the Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula 1 team, German tuner HOF (former Hofele) built a special version of the Gelendvagen. The SUV with almost double the power, lowered suspension, racing-style steering wheel and a number of other modifications was called Sir Class. The studio is going to release 11 of these “Gels” at a price of 1,173,000 manat per piece.
The “charged” Mercedes-AMG G63 was taken as a basis. The output of its four-liter V8 was increased from the standard 585 hp and 850 Nm to 1063 hp and 1300 Nm, using more efficient turbines and updating the software. As a result, the acceleration time to 100 km/h was reduced to 3.5 seconds, the maximum speed increased to 300 km/h.
In addition, the SUV received a 30 mm lower ground clearance, 23-inch forged wheels with carbon fiber pads, carbon-ceramic brakes, ceramic exhaust tips on the sides, a carbon ventilated hood and a special silver-black livery with accents of Petronas’ signature turquoise tiffany green.
The interior, trimmed in leather, Alcantara and carbon fiber, features new bucket seats with 1063 logos on the headrests and a steering wheel-like steering wheel in the style of Formula cars.
