The crossover market is constantly changing: some models are receiving new generations, while others are being discontinued due to low demand, brand strategy changes, or line updates.
As reported by Baku Cars – Rent a Car in Baku with reference to Day.Az, Slashgear has compiled a list of the 5 most interesting models in this class that will no longer be produced next year.
Kia Soul
The Kia Soul is a compact crossover that has survived three generations, but after a sharp decline in demand, the manufacturer will cease sales at the end of 2025. While 154,000 units were sold at its peak in 2016, only 52,000 were sold last year. Although the Soul had a reputation as a stylish and practical city car, Kia’s current lineup is already filled with affordable crossovers-the Seltos, Niro, and Sportage-so its role as the cheapest model will be taken over by the Kia K4 sedan.

Ford Escape and Lincoln Corsair
The compact crossover Ford Escape and its premium sibling, the Lincoln Corsair, which were produced at the same plant, will disappear due to the plant’s reorientation toward large-scale production of electric vehicles. Although the company claims that inventory will last until 2026, the models will no longer be sold in several US states with strict emissions standards, and their production will end by the end of 2025, with no guarantee of a 2026 model year version.

BMW X4
The coupe-like BMW X4 crossover, the younger brother of the popular X3, has lost buyer interest over time – today, there are seven X3s for every one X4. Despite powerful versions like the 503-horsepower X4 M Competition, BMW has decided to discontinue the model in favor of the electric successor BMW iX4, which will begin production in Hungary in the fall of 2026 and be introduced in 2027.

Cadillac XT6
The three-row Cadillac XT6 crossover is ending its life after the 2025 model year: production will cease earlier than planned, and the model itself will not have a successor. This is due to Cadillac’s complete transition to electric platforms: the XT6’s place in the lineup has already been taken by the electric three-row Cadillac Vistiq, while demand for the XT6 itself has fallen to one of the lowest levels in the segment.

Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe and GLE Coupe
The coupe-like Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe and GLE Coupe crossovers are disappearing due to weak sales and low interest from buyers, who are increasingly opting for the practicality of traditional body styles. Despite this, the lineup is rounded out with a bang by the extreme AMG GLE 63 S Coupe with 603 hp – but even this couldn’t save the format from ending production at the end of 2025.
