The Jetta brand, under which simplified versions of Volkswagen models are sold in China, has introduced a new flagship sedan. The fourth model in the line received the VA7 index and a 1.4-liter turbo engine, and technically, as ITHome writes, it became a copy of the VW Sagitar sedan, well-known in China. Prices for the new product have not yet been announced.
The “trolley”, body and interior architecture were borrowed from Sagitar for the new Jetta. Among the external differences are original bumpers and a radiator grille in the style of other models. The dimensions of the VA7 are 4773x1789x1469 millimeters with a wheelbase of 2731 millimeters and 553 liters of luggage space: in terms of size, the new product is very close to the Skoda Octavia.
The four-door model should be equipped with, for example, wheel rims up to 18 inches, a media system with a screen diagonal of up to 12.9 inches, climate control and a panoramic roof.
The engine range for the VA7 was made up of an uncontested 1.4-liter turbo engine, which is no longer used in the current VW Sagitar sedan. In the Jetta version, it will develop 150 hp, the gearbox is a seven-speed “robot”. The sedan will reach the first hundred in 9.2 seconds with a maximum speed of 200 km/h.
