Nissan showed a prototype of the new Pathfinder at the Shanghai Auto Show. According to the press service of the concern, the production of the car will be mastered at the facilities of the Dongfeng-Nissan joint venture in China.
The novelty differs from the current Pathfinder with completely new body elements. So, the optics, bumpers, radiator grille, fenders and some other details have changed. However, the supporting frame remained the same.
Two LCD screens appeared in the cabin, visually combined into a single unit. One of them acts as a virtual dashboard, and the second is responsible for multimedia.
The technical characteristics of the novelty are not disclosed, but it is likely that the car will receive a four-cylinder turbo engine and all-wheel drive.
The fifth generation of the Nissan Pathfinder crossover was introduced in 2021. The car retained the old 3.5-liter V6 with 275 hp. The new Pathfinder is not the next generation or a complete facelift. According to the company, the off-road vehicle presented in Shanghai will be exclusive to the Chinese market, the appearance of which was created to suit the tastes of local buyers. Apparently, the model will not enter the global market.
