The Chinese crossover Haval Dargo X will receive a new version with a different design and powerful engine. At the disposal of the AutoHome portal were photographs of new items taken from the database of the Ministry of Industry of the People’s Republic of China. This is still the same “off-road” modification of the model, but with a different grille and a two-liter turbo engine with a capacity of 238 horsepower. For comparison, the current Dargo X is equipped with a 192 horsepower engine.
Externally, the new version of Dargo X can be recognized by the silver rectangular radiator grille with two wide horizontal slats and the edging of the main headlight units in the same color – visually they are combined with the grille. In addition, the design of the rear bumper with a protective overlay and the Haval logo on the fifth door, which is located on the luminous strip connecting the lights, are different. You can also notice that in this design option, the crossover does not have an imitation of bolting on the wheel arches.
But the main innovation is under the hood. Instead of a 192-horsepower engine, a more powerful 238-horsepower unit has been announced for the new version of the Dargo X. Apparently, the model will get the same two-liter turbo engine that the second-generation Dargo will receive. And with it, the crossover can get a new nine-speed automatic.
More details will follow in the coming months, as the launch of such a Dargo X in China is scheduled for the third quarter of 2023.
