Infiniti has shown a new generation of its flagship QX80 SUV. According to the manufacturer, the appearance of the 2025 QX80 model year is inspired by the QX Monography concept car.
The new QX80 has an imposing shape and a nearly vertical front end with a massive grille with active shutters. Front lighting elements include two slim daytime running lights with a distinctive block pattern at the front and a full-width tailgate light bar at the rear. In the new generation of its flagship SUV, Infiniti placed emphasis on the “floating roof”, as well as on door handles that do not stick out from the outside, but are only reached when the car is opened. The top version of the Autograph will also receive a two-tone body solution and 22-inch wheels. In other versions, the wheels will have a diameter of 20 inches.
The QX80 features three rows of seating and, for the first time, heated third row seats will be available as an option. Most of the dashboard is occupied by a pair of 14.3-inch touchscreens. The dashboard is complemented by a new head-up display. The infotainment section is equipped with an Android-based operating system with a built-in Google app store, maps and voice assistant. There is support for wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto technologies. The previous QX80 had four USB ports, the new version has eight USB-C throughout the cabin.
The old gear lever is replaced with a push-button shifter, and physical climate control controls are replaced with haptic touch functions on the 9.0-inch screen at the front of the center console. Additionally, the new QX80 features a “biometric cooling” feature that uses an infrared sensor in the headliner to measure occupants’ body temperature and automatically directs air to cool them when needed.
Prices for the Infiniti QX80 will start at $82,450 for the base rear-wheel drive version, while the top-of-the-line all-wheel drive version will start at $110,595.
