To facilitate travel for citizens and strengthen ties between countries, the visa requirement for citizens holding ordinary passports of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Sultanate of Oman, the State of Kuwait, and the Kingdom of Bahrain has been waived for entry into the Republic of Azerbaijan from February 15, 2026, to February 15, 2027, according to the State Migration Service.
During the period of validity of the new rules, citizens of these countries will be able to enter Azerbaijan visa-free up to three times and stay in the country for up to 30 days on each entry. Individuals planning a trip for purposes other than tourism, or intending to stay longer, will be able to enter the country after obtaining the appropriate visa in accordance with the law.
In addition, third-country nationals holding a temporary or permanent residence permit valid for at least six months, issued by the relevant government agencies of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Sultanate of Oman, the State of Kuwait, the Kingdom of Bahrain, and the State of Qatar, are now eligible to obtain a single-entry 30-day tourist visa at international airports in the Republic of Azerbaijan.
As a reminder, foreigners temporarily staying in Azerbaijan for more than 15 days must register at their place of stay in accordance with the requirements of the Migration Code. Additionally, if there are grounds stipulated by law, foreign citizens may apply for an extension or a temporary residence permit before the expiration of their stay. They may do so in person through the “Migration Services” window at ASAN xidmət centers or electronically through the “Electronic Services” section on the official website of the State Migration Service.
