Moving to Baku for a contract year? The car maths changes completely when you think in months instead of days. Buying means customs, registration, resale risk and a parking spot you own; a monthly rental means one predictable payment and a car that is always someone else’s problem to maintain.
Why expats rent instead of buy
- One monthly figure covers the car, CASCO + OSAGO insurance, maintenance and seasonal tyre logistics. Our 30-day plans price well below day-rate × 30.
- No exit cost. Contract ends, keys come back — no resale listings, no de-registration.
- Swap as life changes. Start with an economy sedan, switch to an SUV for the winter or when family visits. Try the all-automatic fleet before settling.
Documents for foreign residents
The same short list as for tourists: passport or Azerbaijani residence card, plus a driving licence held 2+ years — Latin-script national licences are accepted as they are (details in our licence guide). Driver age 23–65. Payment monthly by card, transfer or cash; the refundable deposit starts from 200 AZN depending on the car and driver age.
The practical monthly setup
Most expat clients settle on this: an economy or business sedan for the commute, the 250 km/day pooled allowance (7,500 km a month — commuting rarely uses half), and delivery to the office or apartment on day one. Weekend region trips fit inside the same allowance. Message your dates and district on WhatsApp (+994 50 999 77 99) and we will quote two or three cars from the live fleet with exact monthly totals.
