An unusual homemade product was sold on eBay – a semblance of a Tesla Cybertruck, prepared for service in the “space patrol”. The author of the project from the American state of Utah decided to parody the style of the hyped electric pickup truck not just for fun – he promised to send the proceeds to a local fund to support the families of deceased police officers. The car went for only $ 4,550, but there are objective reasons for that.
The fact is that the basis for the so-called Cybercop was a 21-year-old second-generation Toyota Prius hybrid with a mileage of over 337 thousand kilometers. Having removed the bumpers, hood and a number of other body elements from the liftback, an exoskeleton was welded for it from steel pipes, on which aluminum panels were attached using double-sided tape and rivets. The standard lighting equipment was replaced with thin strips of LEDs – in fact, of the externally visible parts, only mirrors and glass remained from the donor (the rear side ones are covered with grilles).
The new body was equipped with additional lighting equipment, including flashing lights on the roof, an imitation of a police ram and dummy automatic weapons. In addition, the CyberCop is decorated with a number of humorous inscriptions such as “Space Patrol” and “Destroy All Threats”, as well as “Fake Cop”.
