If not charged promptly, electric vehicle batteries can quickly fail. In some cases, short circuits can occur, which can lead to serious consequences, including vehicle fires.
Batteries, a key component of electric vehicles, are a constant concern for drivers, both in terms of country of manufacture and cost. According to auto mechanics, such batteries are primarily sourced from China and Taiwan.
Experts note that new batteries cost approximately $3,000. Used batteries in Azerbaijan cost between ₼2,500-3,000. Small batteries are priced at approximately ₼700-750.

In some cases, the main reason for rapid battery failure is improper use. In particular, improper charging significantly reduces the battery’s lifespan.
Experts also note that insufficient insulation can contribute to problems. Since batteries are located at the bottom of the vehicle, they are more susceptible to moisture and water, which can cause additional problems.
Some drivers try to protect the battery from water by covering the bottom. However, this impairs the cooling system and leads to battery overheating. Leaving the bottom open increases exposure to moisture. Both options shorten the battery’s lifespan.
Overheating can cause a short circuit, which is a serious hazard. Therefore, experts recommend not tampering with the cooling system and strictly following the manufacturer’s instructions.

By following these guidelines, electric vehicle batteries can last longer and be used more safely.
