Audi is developing an extreme SUV based on the battery-powered Q6 Sportback e-tron crossover coupe. According to CarBuzz, which published photos of the prototype without camouflage, the main change in its chassis is the use of portal axles. It is already known that Audi does not plan to mass-produce such an electric car, but the purpose of its road tests has not yet been specified.
Portal axles, coupled with larger wheels, provide the electric car with significantly increased ground clearance. The size of the wheels has not yet been reported, but it is known that the Audi Q6 Sportback e-tron is equipped with Venom Tires Terra Hunters tires.
The extreme version of the crossover is equipped with new bumpers that optimize the geometry of the body, and massive wheel arch extensions. New LED headlights, complemented by light blocks on the roof, and towing eyes appeared in the front bumper.
