Changan has revealed the appearance of the Deepal S05 crossover. It will be sold in hybrid and fully electric versions and will appear on the Chinese market before the end of 2024. There are no detailed specifications yet, but it is known that the electric version will develop 238 horsepower and will be able to travel more than 500 kilometers without recharging.
The Changan-owned Deepal brand has published photos of its new model, the S05 crossover. In terms of dimensions, the Deepal S05 is close to the RAV4, and this is with a wheelbase longer than that of the Toyota Highlander – 2880 millimeters.
According to Chinese media reports, the crossover will be offered with two power plants. The all-electric one will develop 238 horsepower, and the car will be able to travel more than 500 kilometers on one charge. There will also be an option with a sequential hybrid system. In it, a 1.5 petrol engine with a power of 102 horsepower will work as a generator, and a 218-horsepower electric motor will drive the wheels.
