Land Rover is preparing a powerful and fast Defender Octa with a BMW engine. Little is known about the SUV, named after the octahedral shape of the diamond. For example, it will get the 6D Dynamics adaptive air suspension from the Range Rover Sport SV and a V8 Twin Turbo engine with a 48-volt add-on. This will make the Octa the most powerful Defender in history. The new version of the iconic SUV will debut before the end of this year.
The Land Rover Defender Octa SUV will surpass all existing modifications of the model in power and dynamics, and the distinctive feature of this version will be its own emblem – a diamond in a circle. It is known that the Okta will be equipped with an adaptive air suspension 6D Dynamics, the struts of which are connected by a hydraulic circuit that acts as anti-roll bars and actively combats dive during braking and roll when cornering.
The Defender Octa will also receive off-road tires and Brembo brakes, which were shown in the first teaser photos.
The Land Rover Defender Octa is currently undergoing a series of tests in different parts of the world, from the ice testing grounds of Sweden to the Mojave Desert in California. The company invites interested customers to get in touch before the official premiere and promises to arrange a preview screening for them.
