Mercedes-Maybach presented a new luxury crossover called the EQS 680 at the Shanghai Motor Show. The car received two electric motors, a 107.8 kWh battery and an all-wheel drive system. The total power of the novelty is 658 hp. and 950 Nm of torque. Acceleration to hundreds takes the car 4.4 s. The maximum speed is 210 km/h.
Five driving modes are available to the driver: Eco, Sport, Offroad, Individual and the main one – Maybach. The EQS 680 has a range of 600 km. Also, the crossover received an air suspension and a fully controlled chassis.
The design of the electric car resembles a regular EQS SUV. The “green” crossover was equipped with a different grille, new bumpers, a lot of chrome body parts, Digital Light matrix optics, Maybach emblems, and 21- or 22-inch wheels to choose from.
Interior EQS 680 received high-quality leather trim and wood veneer. The car was equipped with seats with heating, ventilation and massage function. Also, the luxury crossover received a “hyperscreen”, which is three OLED displays that turn into one another. Opposite the driver is a dashboard that reports on the state of the car, in the middle is a multimedia system, and opposite the passenger seat is an additional screen on which you can watch entertainment content. Options include additional displays for rear passengers, folding tables and a mini fridge for drinks.
The production of the electric crossover EQS 680 will be established at a plant in the United States. Sales of the car should begin before the end of this year 2024. Prices for the novelty have not yet been announced. According to Carscoops, in the US, the price of the car will be about $185,000 (about 315,000 ₼).
