A new debut date for the compact Toyota SUV, which will be the youngest model in the lineup, has been announced. According to Carscoops, the model with the supposed name Land Cruiser FJ should be shown this fall and put on sale early next year. Despite its compact size, the new model, like other Land Cruisers, will receive a frame structure.
According to preliminary data, the SUV will stretch in length by 4.5 meters and will receive a wheelbase of 2750 millimeters, that is, in terms of dimensions it will be slightly more compact than the Toyota RAV4. It is expected that instead of the TNGA-F platform currently used on the Land Cruiser lineup, the Land Cruiser FJ will use a simpler and more budgetary IMV-0 “trolley” – for example, the Hilux Champ family is based on it.
