Mercedes-Benz has unveiled a unique version of its flagship Mercedes-Maybach S 680 sedan, dubbed the V12 Edition. The key feature of this car is its exclusive exterior and interior trim, which includes elements made of pure 24-karat gold. The manufacturer plans to produce only 50 examples, which will go on sale in select global markets this fall.
The limited edition’s exterior features an exclusive two-tone color scheme consisting of olive and black, separated by a thin silver line. The application technology for this multi-layer coating is so complex that it takes up to ten working days, twice as long as standard two-tone models.

Special wheels further emphasize the model’s uniqueness. The interior is upholstered in high-quality leather and decorated with natural wood in expertly selected shades.
Gold accents, which the company calls “medals,” can be found both exterior and interior. The engineers intended their design to reference historic Maybach models while simultaneously symbolizing the heart of the car-the hand-assembled twelve-cylinder engine.

Technically, this version remains unchanged. The car is equipped with a six-liter gasoline engine producing 612 horsepower and 900 Newton-meters of torque. With this power, the sedan accelerates from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in 4.5 seconds.
Standard equipment includes adaptive suspension, all-wheel drive, rear-wheel steering, active cabin noise reduction, and the five-screen MBUX infotainment system.
