Ford has shown a retro version of the Mustang GT in the style of the 1980s. The “Blue Oval” will add the FX Pack to the configurator of pony cars of the 2026 model year. Ford decided to remind about the second half of the 1980s with special accents: the color palette will be expanded due to the shade of a sea wave, white wheels will be added, the lights will be changed, and the interior will be decorated in a checkered style in an antique style. Vintage options will be available only for the eight-cylinder Ford Mustang GT.
The official photos show a fastback with the Performance package, and its feature is wheels with an unusual design. The Oxford White color is mandatory for the FX Pack. Also in white will be the Mustang, GT and 5.0 badges on the body, but the lights with a white coating will be offered for all Mustangs as an option from 2026. Inside, perforated leather inserts imitate the fabric seats of the 1980s.
Interestingly, combinations are available for both standard seats and optional Recaro buckets. Finally, the FX Pack will be offered with non-standard seat belts in orange, blue or black and red, and the decorative elements in the interior will be made in a special font. No changes in technology have been announced: the naturally aspirated 5.0 V8 will still be combined with both a 6-speed manual and a 10-speed automatic.
Orders for the 2026 Ford Mustang will open at the end of June, and prices will be added to the configurator at the same time. Now the GT Premium costs from $51,000, and the Dark Horse will cost $64,000: this range will include the FX Pack fastback in retro style.
