Nissan has unveiled the new Patrol SUV. The car has been restyled for the first time in 5 years. The SUV is based on the platform of the new Infiniti QX80 released in the spring.
The 2025 Nissan Patrol features an updated front end, where you can now see two-tier optics and a voluminous radiator grille, which is a striking feature of the SUV. The rear lights, like those of the more premium Infiniti QX80, have now become a single element.
The Patrol has become slightly longer and wider than the previous generation, but retained the same wheelbase. Nevertheless, the SUV was made more spacious (for example, 145 mm was added to the legs of third-row passengers) and the trunk volume was increased, which ranges from 578 to 2750 liters. The torsional rigidity of the body has increased by 25%, the manufacturer said.
Instead of the V8 engine that was installed in the flagship Nissan SUV throughout all earlier generations, under the hood of the new Patrol will be a 3.5-liter V6 engine with a twin-turbocharger, which develops 425 hp. In addition, the car will also be available with a naturally aspirated engine of the same volume with a power of 316 hp.
The interior architecture for the Patrol was generally borrowed from the new QX80, but somewhat simplified. For example, the diagonal of the displays that make up the “monoblock” in the basic versions is reduced to 12.3 inches, and the center console is strewn with physical buttons.
At the same time, in more expensive versions, especially comfortable seats with premium trim, and 14.3-inch screens, and Klipsch acoustics, as well as separate seats in the second row, displays for rear passengers and a large panoramic sunroof will be available.
The Patrol will be sold in the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and other Gulf states, as well as Australia. It will go on sale from November 1, 2024.
